Big Brovaz

Wanneer Big Brovaz het debuutalbum Nu Flow in 2002 uitbrengt, bestaat de groep uit drie jongens (Flawless, J-Rock en Skillz) en drie meiden (Cherise, Dion en Nadia) tussen de 19 en de 25 jaar. Volgens de biografie van de platenmaatschappij is Big Brovaz een van de meest originele R&B groepen uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk om de unieke theatrale samensmelting van hiphop en R&B. J-Rock denkt dat Nu Flow een breed publiek kan aanspreken: The album is like a very worldly album. Everyone can get with it. I think different parts of the world will like it. Een track op het album is 'Favourite Things', een moderne hiphop-/R&B-versie van het overbekende liedje uit de musicalfilm The Sound Of Music. De zes zijn in eerste instantie nogal sceptisch over het idee, maar wanneer ze de zogenaamde backing track horen, zijn ze om. Cherise: "It was like the biggest vibe that weve ever had. We just danced around the studio. It just felt great already. So then we just laid it down."Nog voor de sigle 'Nu Flow' in de winkels ligt, vindt er een bandwissel plaats. Randy neemt de plek van Skillz in. Randy: "I've always been in the group - I've been in the group for 11 years. The only reason I wasn't in the video was because at the time of the video I had to take some months out for personal reasons. But I'm back now so it's all good - and Skillz is naturally a producer anyway so he gets to go back and produce and I get to come back and rap so it's all good. Yeah."
