The Paper Kites is een Australische band met indie rock-folk achtige muziek.
Melbourne
The Paper Kites zijn ontstaan in 2010 in Melbourne als indie rock-folk band. Hun sound is vooral ontstaan rondom de folkmuziek. Sam Bentley van de band verklaart zelf: "We are whatever we released on the last record". In 2015 breken ze langzaamaan door in Nederland met de hit 'Electric Indigo' afkomstig van hun tweede album Twelvefour.
