La Toya Jackson treedt op bij Tribute Michael

Tijdens het tribute concert voor Michael Jackson zal La Toya Jackson voor het eerst in twintig jaar weer het podium betreden.

Het concert dat 8 oktober in Wales plaats zal vinden en georganiseerd wordt door de moeder van Michael Jackson heeft er weer een bekende naam bij. Niemand minder dan Michael's zus La Toya is aan de line up toegevoegd. Ze heeft al bijna twintig jaar niet meer op het podium gestaan, maar vond dit een goed moment om weer een keer op te treden.

"I have put musical performance behind me for roughly two decades, but there will never be another magical moment such as this to celebrate Michael with his fans to perpetuate the importance of his legacy. I am honoured to share the stage with the incredible performers in this line up and am certain that nothing would make my brother smile bigger or brighter than this tribute concert."

Beyonce, Cee Lo Green, Leona Lewis, de Britse boyband JLS, Gladys Knight, Jackson Brothers; Tito Marlon and Jackie, Alien Ant Farm (brachten in 2001 een cover van Michaels track 'Smooth Criminal' uit), Smokey Robinson, Pixie Lott, 3T (de groep die bestaat uit drie neefjes van Michael) en Christina Aguilera waren al bevestigd voor het tribute concert.
