Motion City Soundtrack - ‘True Romance’

Over twee dagen staat Motion City Soundtrack in het poppodium Hedon in Zwolle. De Amerikaanse poppunkband is hier nog niet zo bekend, maar toch zijn de heren al best een tijdje bezig. In juni van dit jaar verschijnt hun Go, dat is al weer hun vijfde album. De single 'True Romance' geeft vast een voorproefje van het nieuwe werk. Die begint akoestisch, maar gaat daarna over in het vrolijke upbeat punkpopsound waar de heren om bekend staan.

Zanger Justin Pierre vertelt waar 'True Romance' over gaat. "'True Romance' is a love song about two people who seemingly don't have much in common except their love for the time they share in the bedroom. In my experience, opposites do attract. And if you can get over the superficialities, you often find you have more in common than you initially thought. Perhaps you even find love."
